The 10th year anniversary of the Forest and Market Days are celebrated in the Visitor Center Kellokas on the second weekend of September.
Once again, the local stallholders will gather in the Visitor Center and sell their unique and traditional handicrafts of the region. You can even bring your favorite shoes and a local shoemaker will fix them back to fit in the market.

On Saturday and Sunday, the visitors will be able to follow show sawing, woodwork and spinning performances and get to know how the work got done in the old days. The ones with stable hand and accurate eyes can even participate a frame saw competition or try out archery.

Local musicians will guarantee the original logging site ambience. Jukka Lampela and his Bunkhouse Orchestra will perform on Friday at 6:00 pm. Marko Haapapuro will cheer the market visitors with his accordion music on Saturday starting at 10:30 am. The male-voice choir Lankomiehet again will keep the atmosphere relaxed but the rhythm going on Sunday at 11:00 am.

Samples of a local delicacy known as “tirripaistos”, a traditionally prepared sizzling meat and onion pot will be served for the hungry visitors. To satisfy the sweet tooth the visitors can also have a taste of the cakes baked for the gateau competition held on Sunday.
